All this avian talk is awesome and all that, but sometimes it's nice to take a break. We get to know each other a little bit talking ideas, but why not take the chance to get to know each other a little more personally? So how's your day been, you guys?Mine's been okay. Dealing with a pretty bad sunburn, but I'm beyond psyched with how much progress we've been making here. It's helped distract me from other stuff. c: Oh, and Big Brother's second half of the season premiere was on tonight! I'm not sure how I feel about this year's cast yet, but I'm kind of laughing at the poker dealer because she's reading people so wrong so far. XD

My day's been pretty great! I went to my grandma's and she bought me Ticket to Ride on Steam, a board game I've been eyeing for a while that I didn't realize was on Steam and I'm so excited to have it and play it. If you want to play with me, it's only $2 on sale right now on Steam, and it's a really fantastic and addictive game.

Congratulations!! I'd never heard of the game before, so I went and looked it up on Steam. I watched a bit of one of the videos and wow! I hate games like that because it's so hard trying to figure out what you should do! I only "hate" them though because I'm no good at them. XD I wish I could afford it right now, but alas I'm broke until next month. I hope you have fun playing it!!

Aww, that's a shame. Yeah, the game takes a while to figure out but once you do it's sooo much fun to play. I love it so much. It's a game my rl friends and I play, actually, that's how I even heard of it, and got addicted to it. I'm so happy I've got it though, it's so much fun~

I was taught how to play Stone Age a few months ago, and I majorly sucked at that game too. It was a lot of fun playing it with the people I was with though. c: I bet Ticket to Ride would probably be the same way. It does sound really fun. If I had the money I'd so buy it right now. ^_^

Don't be afraid to post here you guys. ^_^ You can make your own threads too if you'd like! We might as well have fun and get to know each other outside of planning, right? So next Saturday (22 August) I get to go to a Vikings vs Raiders game. I've been a Raiders fan (as much as one can be a fan without liking football too much) for longer than I can remember. I guess about 20 years ago my parents took me to a Vikings/Raiders game after we moved here to Minnesota, but I don't remember it at all. But it will be fun I think. Spend time with my dad. And I'll be rooting against the home team of course. ;D Do any of you have any fun weekend plans coming up? Any plans you're not so much looking forward to?

Oh, that sounds like fun, Elk! I hope you have a good time! My family is a Florida Gator family due to our history of having people attend the college, along with me next year if I get accepted into the undergraduate program. I don't really like football too much but I DO like how we get all kinds of tasty treats during the superbowl that we rarely get otherwise, like artichoke, avocado, and bacon dip, wings, cheese sticks, etc. Yummy!
This weekend I'm opening up my own forum on a VPS in the early planning stage. My boyfriend (who was looking for his own path, and how to feel useful, and I discovered that he has great ideas despite never playing a VPS) and I have decided to give it the working name Kirato (a play on japanese names, roughly meaning "Kingdom of Light"), and I'm really excited, since I've been dreaming of this site since I was 7 (almost 11 years ago)

Thanks! Me too! That does sound fun, the special food and everything. c: My family does some stuff like that too. We don't have bacon dip though. :c That's exciting!!! I hope it works out well for you two!

As for me, I'm writing! I'm working on a Novella, if it's really even long enough to be considered a Novella, about a mercenary and a prince set in a world of my own design, Faeterra. I'm really excited about it and it's allllmost done.

It was! I've finished now, though I'm going back through and editing and enhancing, but I'm so happy! I never finish anything I start, so this is proof to me that I can do it if I put my mind to it.

I don't, simply because I would feel like there was a time limit on it and I really don't do well under time-related pressure. That goes beck to when I was in second grade taking timed math tests when the teacher (who hated me for no apparent reason) would put the timer on my desk simply because she knew it freaked me out. :/
